Beltbridle Tension Slitting Line
Belt bridle tensioning added in slitting line ensures slit strips are properly tensioned to prevent slippage by rotating belts and maintain consistent performance by hydraulic cylinders.
Beltbridle Tension Slitting Line Function:
Belt bridle tension units are designed to provide non-scratching strip tension during slitting processes, ensuring high-quality surface by minimizing defects.

Beltbridle Tension Unit Structure:
There are several parts in belt bridle system, including felt pad tension, roller braking systems, and belt bridle tensioners. These systems work together to provide non-sliding recoiling tension, free from surface damage.
Belt: The core of the equipment is a set of endless loop belts mounted in opposing upper and lower rows. These belts come into direct contact with the surface of the moving strip steel.
Bridle: Hydraulic cylinders press down the upper belt set, causing the upper and lower belts to tightly sandwich all the narrow strips passing between them. When the strips try to move forward, significant friction is generated between them and the belts. This friction is then converted into the required tension for re-coiling.
The ingenuity of this system lies in its method of generating resistance by having the belts slide over water-cooled steel plates, simultaneously dissipating frictional heat. This allows for continuous and stable operation.

Beltbridle Tension Slitting Line Application:
Beltbridle Tension Slitting Line is suitable for pre-coated steel, aluminium, stainless steel, copper, automotive plate, home appliance plate and other high-grade thin and soft metal slitting. Compared to traditional tension control methods (such as felt-pad tension stands), Beltbridle technology offers several key advantages:
1. Surface Protection:The endless belts rotate at the same linear speed as the moving strips, ensuring synchronous motion. This creates a static friction interface rather than a sliding one, eliminating relative motion between the belt and the strip surface. Prevents scratching on materials with high gloss, coatings, or polished surfaces, which is difficult to achieve with traditional methods.
2.Uniform Tension:Each narrow strip is pressed by an independent belt segment, and the belts run stably with tension for all the strips uniform. The high-elasticity fibers in the middle allow the belt to apply balanced pressure to the steel strip, while also minimizing relative movement between the belt and the strip.
3.Broad Applicability: By adjusting pressure or changing to pad tension, it can handle various materials and thicknesses.Capable of processing a wide range of materials, from soft metals (like copper, aluminum) to high-strength stainless steel, offering extensive applicability.

Typical Line Configuration
Beltbridle Tension Slitting Line is engineered for the high demanding production requirements with unparalleled efficiency

Hydraulic Decoiler
Entry coil car transports raw metal coil from storage saddle and lift to uncoiler mandrel. Mandrel expands to hold inner core of coil tightly. Auto decoiling.

Peeler Machine & Loop Pit
Strip peeler threads the metal plate. Entry rough leveler flattens strips and entry shearer cuts off uneven metal end.

Slitting Machine
Side guiding positions the metal strip. Slitter arbors rotate and circular knives cut coils longitudinally.

Scrap Rewinder
Scrap ballers auto follow slitting speed and rewind slitted scrap. Winding tension and speed is adjustable. The scraps are discharged by hydraulically.

Loop Pit & Pre-dividing
Looping pit offer storage space for slitted strips. Pre-dividing shafts separate strips before after exit looping pit.

Tensioning & Recoiler
Beltbridle Tension unit controls the pull from the recoiler to wind the slit strands into tight, precise coils. .
Advanced Technology
Engineered for performance, built for durability, designed for productivity

Beltbridle Tension Unit
Rotating Belts
The belt moves synchronously with the strip, preventing scratches on the strip surface. This is particularly crucial for materials with high surface finish requirements, such as stainless steel, color-coated sheets, and aluminum sheets.
Hydraulic Pressure
Beltbridle unit provides a certain tension during recoiling for the recoiler to ensure recoiling quality. The tension can be adjusted by regulating the pressure control valve.
Cooling System
The belt moves synchronously with the metal strips, and the cooling system dissipates the heat from the belt, effectively protecting the material surface.

Advance Control & Monitoring
Advanced Diagnostics
Integrated fault diagnosis system provides early warnings for potential issues and suggests maintenance schedules to prevent unplanned downtime.
Line Monitor Camera
Operators can monitor the entire process in real time via the central display, which shows live camera views of the uncoiler, slitting section, exit loop pit, and recoiler.
Remote Support Capability
Optional remote I/O PLC allows our technicians to provide support, diagnostics, and software updates without onsite visits.
